The 348 followed in the footsteps of the 308-328 series but included numerouse updates to the chassis and body. The 34 litre engine , set longitudinally with a transverse mounted gearbox and dry-sump carter,was aiso fittrd to the spider that otherwise bore the same features as the berlinetta.
