Derived from the Mondial 8 from 1980, both the cabrio and closed-top versions of the 3.2 had on board the same 3185 cm3 engine unit. Other modifications included the spray painted bumpers and a new design for the rims. The topless version was fitted with a more powerful air-conditioning system.
